By June he should be able to resume normal activity levels!

Meet Marshmallow 🤍

Marshmallow is a four-year-old American Bully who truly is the light of everyone’s life. She is the sweetest, most amazing girl in the world. Just one day before she was scheduled to be euthanized at Hesperia Animal Shelter in California due to overcrowding, she was saved. She was a staff favorite, and they did everything they could to find her a rescue—and when we met her, it was an easy “yes." Now, Marshmallow is ready for her forever home.

She is wonderful with everyone she meets and absolutely loves people. She would do great in a home with kids and just wants to be showered with love while giving endless kisses in return. She does well with medium to large dogs. She is not dog aggressive, but she can be a bit dominant with smaller dogs, so that’s something to be mindful of.

Before coming to us, Marshmallow experienced some neglect, which led to weight gain and minor hip dysplasia. She will eventually need TPLO surgery, which The Asher House Sanctuary will cover. TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) is a knee surgery that stabilizes a torn ligament by changing the angle of the shin bone, allowing the joint to function without relying on the damaged ligament. Recovery typically takes about 8–12 weeks with restricted activity and gradual return to normal movement.

Marshmallow would love nothing more than light walks, a little time to get her zoomies out, and lots of couch cuddles, belly rubs, and companionship. She is truly an angel who brings so much light and laughter to the sanctuary, and we want her to find a home where she gets that love right back.

I lived in a foster home with three dogs ranging from small to large and even a cat, and I did great. If there are cats in my future home, they should be comfortable around dogs.

Because of my size and gentle nature, kids in my home should be over the age of 7 and able to understand that even a confident mastiff appreciates respectful interactions.

Zammie is a 2.5-year-old, 65-pound German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd/Husky mix with a heart full of love and a spirit built for adventure. This handsome boy is the perfect blend of playful energy and laid-back companionship—equally happy exploring the outdoors or relaxing by your side.

Zammie came to us as an owner surrender when his previous person realized they couldn’t give him the life he truly deserved. Now, he’s ready for a fresh start with a family who can match his loyalty and love.

Zammie does well with people of all ages, including kids, and he enjoys the company of other dogs. That said, he thrives best in a calmer, quieter environment where he can feel safe and secure. He can be a bit anxious when meeting new people, especially men, and may take some extra time to build trust—but once that bond is formed, Zammie is incredibly devoted and deeply loyal. He has a special soft spot for women and tends to connect with them quickly.

This smart, eager-to-please boy walks nicely on leash and would love an active home where he can join in on adventures, then come home to unwind with his favorite humans. More than anything, Zammie is looking for a family who will give him patience, consistency, and lots of love.
